2004 Annual Report

In 2004 Officers' Christian Fellowship continued to grow. At year end we counted 13,217 Regular and Associate Members in the Fellowship.

Financially, your continuing faithful support provided resources to expand our field ministry by putting a representative in the Norfolk/Hampton Roads Center of Mass, while continuing to minister through our publications and other field outreach ministries. And, thanks to our established cash reserve, we were able to meet payrolls on time while exercising a fairly aggressive budget.

But the challenges to our ministry in 2004 involved responding to the continuing demands of war in Iraq, involvement in Afghanistan, as well as in other significant areas of the world. Our forces continued an accelerated transition to an expeditionary mode, and, because we are indigenous, we were there.

We received reports of fellowships from all around the world, many of which were "more or less" OCF. In other words, OCFers gathered "two or three (or more) in His name," and didn't worry or care about who the two or three were. They were, simply, brothers/sisters in Christ. We were active in Bible study fellowships in the front lines, on ships, and in garrisons all over the world.

Meanwhile, back home, we answered the mail, satisfying a myriad of requests for booklets and resources. The "100 Days Bible Study," "Deployed, Not Disconnected," and "Service Separations" books continued to be major sellers to chaplains and others.

The "Wives of Warriors" team continued their ministry at an awesome pace and our Conference Centers in Colorado and Pennsylvania provided respite, relaxation and spiritual recovery for combat weary warriors and their families.

I can't imagine any place I'd rather be than serving and serving with, "Christian officers exercising biblical leadership to raise up a godly military."

We serve an awesome God.
